View of the Hallandsås
Mighty seem like an odd choice, not the most exciting building, but this used to be the place where the local school was situated 100 or so years ago, and that is what Im painting in the studio, so this is a colorstudy for that. Around 6 hours pleine air.

Birgit Nilsson portrait
Done from two photos, one color for the dress and one b/w for the pose, heavily photoshopped to remove the tenor and adding an arm. I also invented the guards Samurai-ish armor. Who doesnt like painting Samurai? It was a bit difficult, since on stage they are caked in makeup, ultimately I decided to paint her like that. Birgit was one of the Worlds foremost opera Singers, and she is from my home village, Västra Karup. This is from Turandot. She would have turned 95 this year, so Happy birthday!
In other news, I have been accepted to Atelier Stockholm, and will be commencing my studies there in September. Incredibly exciting!
