Hammershoi Show at Statens Museum for Kunst In Copenhagen.
This is the whole show. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the musem had managed to get "Arrangement in Grey and Black No.1" by JM Whistler. A few other painters were represented as well, lets see if you can recognise them!
Hammershoi was among other things a student of PS Kroyers, who was a big supporter in getting Hammershois style acknowledged by the higher art society.
A great show, though odd to have so many paintings with womens backs against you! Im used to that in a nightclub, not in a museum. He was a master of composition, although sometimes he made some puzzling decisions in my opinion.
